If a player is having a hard time making the financial commitment to come to an event, our organization has taken a page out of the Blockbuster Larp book to help out: a scholarship fund. This fund has been created to allow PCs (and NPCs who need food) to come to game, even if they can't afford the cost of entry.
You can request money from the scholarship fund from $1-2 all the way up to a full event fee. To make this request, please email owner@refuge-larp-portland.com. Not every request can be funded, but we'll do our best to get people who want to come to game to game. Ultimately, the decision lies at the hands of the owners, and they will do their best to make sure that funds are distributed as equitably as possible.
